Данные такси Нью-Йорка

Набор данных такси Нью-Йорка состоит из более чем 3 миллиардов поездок на такси и транспортных средствах с экипажем (Uber, Lyft и т.д.), начавшихся в Нью-Йорке с 2009 года. Это руководство по началу работы использует выборку из 3 миллионов строк.

Полный набор данных можно получить несколькими способами:

  • вставить данные непосредственно в ClickHouse Cloud из S3 или GCS
  • загрузить подготовленные партиции
  • В качестве альтернативы пользователи могут запросить полный набор данных в нашей среде демонстрации на sql.clickhouse.com.

Создание таблицы trips

Начните с создания таблицы для поездок на такси:

Загрузка данных непосредственно из объектного хранилища

Пользователи могут взять небольшую выборку данных (3 миллиона строк), чтобы ознакомиться с ними. Данные находятся в TSV файлах в объектном хранилище, которые легко загружаются в ClickHouse Cloud с помощью функции таблицы s3.

Одни и те же данные хранятся как в S3, так и в GCS; выберите любую вкладку.

Следующая команда загружает три файла из корзины GCS в таблицу trips (синтаксис {0..2} является подстановочным знаком для значений 0, 1 и 2):

Следующие запросы выполняются на описанном выше образце. Пользователи могут запускать примерные запросы на полном наборе данных в sql.clickhouse.com, изменяя приведенные ниже запросы для использования таблицы nyc_taxi.trips.

Давайте посмотрим, сколько строк было вставлено:

Каждый TSV файл содержит около 1 миллиона строк, и три файла имеют 3,000,317 строк. Давайте посмотрим на несколько строк:

Обратите внимание, что имеются колонки для дат подачи и высадки, гео координат, деталей тарифа, районов Нью-Йорка и многого другого.

Скачивание приведет к получению около 227 ГБ несжатых данных в формате CSV. Загрузка занимает около часа при соединении 1 Гбит (параллельная загрузка из s3.amazonaws.com восстанавливает как минимум половину канала в 1 Гбит). Некоторые файлы могут не загрузиться полностью. Проверьте размеры файлов и повторно загрузите любые из них, которые выглядят подозрительно.

Использовался следующий сервер:

Два Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 v2 @ 2.60GHz, всего 16 физических ядер, 128 ГБ ОЗУ, 8x6 ТБ HDD на RAID-5

Время выполнения является наилучшим из трех запусков. Но начиная со второго запуска, запросы читают данные из кэша файловой системы. Дальнейшее кэширование не происходит: данные считываются и обрабатываются в каждом запуске.

Никаких сюрпризов здесь нет, поскольку запросы масштабируются линейно.

У нас также есть результаты из кластера из 140 серверов:

Q1: 0.028 сек. Q2: 0.043 сек. Q3: 0.051 сек. Q4: 0.072 сек.

В этом случае время обработки запроса определяется прежде всего сетевой задержкой. Мы выполняли запросы, используя клиент, находящийся в другом дата-центре, чем тот, где располагался кластер, что добавило около 20 мс задержки.
